The Moving Child Foundation is a value-driven, nonprofit grant-making foundation that works worldwide to support children and adolescents whose development is hindered by emotional, physical, and social challenges.
We are committed to ensuring that children in challenging life situations are not left alone, but receive support that provides stability and guidance and opens up new perspectives.
To this end, we support projects that protect children’s rights by providing medical care, psychosocial support, and education, as well as creative, physical, and nature-based approaches.

The Moving Child Foundation is established – our journey continues
We are delighted that the Moving Child Foundation was established on June 11, 2025. Our motivated team has expanded with the addition of Susann Dideban-Hermann and Carla Kronester, both of whom are fully committed to the cause. This continues the successful work of Moving Child gGmbH, which was founded in 2010 by Anna Schulz-Dornburg and Gertraud Leimstättner. With the establishment of the foundation, this commitment is now on a permanent and sustainable footing.
The first new project: SOS MEDITERRANEE
SOS MEDITERRANEE was the first new project to be accepted into the newly established Moving Child Foundation. SOS MEDITERRANEE is a European humanitarian organization dedicated to sea rescue in the central Mediterranean. We are in close contact with the new project and are very grateful for the opportunity to support it.
The Moving Child Foundation supports the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation
The Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation supports orphans and half-orphans with educational scholarships and helps fund their education by covering both material and living expenses. In addition, scholarship recipients receive mentoring support in various areas. The Moving Child Foundation supports this valuable program to help young adults pursue their chosen career paths even after facing a serious setback.
