Moving Child Foundation supports Hands with Hands e.V. in Nepal nursing education since 2026
Hands with Hands is a coalition of international and Nepali friends who volunteer to work toward the vision of a society based on solidarity. They support individuals and organizations and initiate and fund projects that promote “empowerment” and are grounded in human values. Whether through advocacy for children, the establishment of microcredit programs, or the promotion of renewable energy, Hands with Hands focuses on long-term commitment and helping people help themselves. Their guiding principle: “Give a fishing rod, not a fish.”
Since the devastating earthquake in 2015 – described as the worst natural disaster in Nepal’s history – Moving Child gGmbH has supported the construction of a new, earthquake-resistant orphanage in the Annapurna mountain region near Pokhara. It was completed and occupied in 2023.
Now that some of the children have grown into teenagers, the Moving Child Foundation is supporting their training to become nurses.
